Arlene Janie Doucet age 78 of Amherst passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan with her loving family by her side.
Born July 19, 1933 in Maccan, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alma (Hunter) McLellan.
Arlene enjoyed the simple things in life, especially her backyard with flowers and bird watching from her window.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Larry Doucet; as well as her nieces, Pat (Wayne Landry) Collins, Amherst and Shelley (Gary) Tingley, West Leicester; nephew, Peter (Debbie) Collins, Stellarton NS; her great nieces, Kim Collins, Calgary AB, and Amanda Hatfield, Amherst; and extended family.
Besides her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her sister, Doris Collins and brother, Darrell McLellan.
Her remains are resting in Campbell's Funeral Home; 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visitation on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday from Campbell's Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Susan Estabrooks officiating. Interment to take place in the spring, at the Maccan Cemetery.
