It is with great sadness that the family of Lemuel Blake announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on March 12, 2012 at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his beloved wife Rowena, his children: Dee (Earle) Day, Florence (Tony) Sooley, Stephen Blake, Melvin and Martin, grandchildren: Christopher and Shawn Sooley, sisters: Shirley (Jack) Webb, Buckhorn, ON, Gertie (Harold) Dalton, Little Catalina, NL, Helen (Melvin) Locke, Surrey, BC, Elizabeth (Clifton) Gaudon, Corner Brook, Linda (Bill) Austin, Gilmanton, NH, USA, Judy (Ron) O’Brien, Corner Brook and Susan Blake, Calgary, AB; brothers: James Blake, Toronto, ON and Fred of Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Daisy and Bartholomew Blake. Visitation will take place at Humber Valley United Church Pasadena on Thursday, March 15, 2012, 7-9 p.m. and Friday, March 16, 2012, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 2 p.m. from Humber Valley United Church, Pasadena with Rev. Marilyn Avery officiating, interment to follow at Humber Valley United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
