It is with profound sadness that we announce the death on March 12 2012, of Elizabeth Taylor Williams, daughter of the late James and Katherine (McCarthy) Taylor.
A well known and respected educator, Elizabeth was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, N.S.
She freely shared her many gifts and talents with all. Her oil paintings are proudly displayed throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph G. and her children, Geraldine, Jo-Anne, James and Phyllis and their spouses, Brian, John and James.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St., Dartmouth.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday, March 18 at Pope John XXIII Church, Colby Drive, Dartmouth.
If desired, donations can be made in Elizabeth’s memory to St. Francis Xavier University, Education Department or the Celtic Studies Department or to a charity of your choice.
A sincere “Thank you” to all who shared in Elizabeth’s health care, especially the outstanding staff on the 11th floor of the Dickson Center QE11 and to the Victoria Order of Nurses.
