Deborah 'Debi' Williams
Born In: SYDNEY, Nova Scotia, Canada
Born: September 20th, 1951
Passed in: Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: March 12th, 2012
It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of a much loved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, Debi Louise Williams, at her home in Courtenary, B.C. on Monday, March 12, 2012.
Born in Sydney on Sept. 20, 1951, Debi was the daughter of Phyllis (Ramey) Williams and the late James Williams.
Debi was a kind, loving, free spirit, who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a cosmetician for many years, who always had a style of her own and excelled in applying makeup for the Christian Dior line and at many fashion shows in Victoria, B.C. Later, Debi and her partner Pat owned and operated a bookstore in Courtenay. Debi was a people person and she loved reading (often reading a book a day!), so owning a bookstore was a natural career choice for her.
Debi will be greatly missed by her soulmate of 35 years, Pat Bolen, Courtenay; her son, Victor (Lia) Hansen, Prince George, B.C.; her granddaughter, Morgan Hansen, Prince George; her mother, Phyllis (Ramey) Williams, Sydney; her sister, Margaret (Dave) Smith, Sydney; her brother, James Williams, Courtenay; Pat’s family and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and grandnieces.
Debi will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends on both the east and west coasts for her great smile and all the laughs they shared.
In accordance with Debi’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
“I lived, I laughed and I loved well.”
