GUNNARSEN Bernice Crystal, a kind and caring soul, passed away May 15, 2007 at Royal Inland hospital after a brief illness with cancer. Bernice was a very special person who thoroughly enjoyed her family, friends, and home. She devoted many years to care giving as well as to her church, playing the organ and working with the choir. Her numerous talents were graciously shared with many, especially her fondness of quilting and gardening, spending countless hours at both. She was a champion lawn bowler and took much pleasure in RVing and the camaraderie of her fellow campers. Born in Kamloops on June 23, 1939, she was proud to be a native Kamloopsian. Predeceased by her mother and father, Bertha and Clifford Olson, she is survived by husband Bing, daughter Leanne (at home) and daughter Lesley (Richard) Sakaki, grandchildren Ryan and Kristen, sister Lorna Hutchinson, and brother Art (Lois) Olson. Her strength and pleasant nature will be cherished and remembered forever. A service of remembrance will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 2481 Sunset Dr. Kamloops, B.C. at 2:00 p.m. May 19,2007 with reception following. Pastors Terry Sauder and Gordon Heselton officiating. We wish to convey our gratitude for the support she received from the doctors and medical community.
