Peacefully with his family by his side, Gehrig went into the arms of the Lord, on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Palliative Care Unit of Prince Edward Home, in his 68th year.
Loving husband of 46 years to Linda (nee Lewis). Loving Dad and role model to Chris (Shelley) and Donnie (Pam). Proud Grandfather of Ashley (Kyle Ferguson), Emily and Lily. Also survived by mother-in-law Edith Lewis; sister Colleen (Kevin) McCormack; sister-in-law Bonnie (Bob) MacGuigan; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jon and Bertha (nee Smith); father-in-law W. Bruce Lewis; sisters-in-law Iris Clark and Alma White.
No visitation by personal request.
Memorial service to be held at Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11 a.m.
