
Myrtle McIntyre
McINTYRE, MYRTLE - It is with a great sense of loss that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother Myrtle May McIntyre (Buckler) wife of the late Hector McIntyre. Myrtle left us on March 18, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Tatamagouche, NS, on March 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Stiles and Hilda (Stevenson) Buckler. Myrtle will forever be remembered for her dedication to her family, her grand sense of humour, her great sense of style and her culinary skills. Her favorite place to be was at the cottage in Dixon Point, where she spent many springs and summers with family, friends and relatives. Myrtle will be missed by her daughter, Lynn McIntyre of Calgary, AB; her daughter-in-law, Louise (late David) of Dieppe; her son-in-law, Peter Wheeler (late Colleen) of Calgary, AB; five granddaughters:
Julie McIntyre (Daniel) of Fredericton, Suzanne McIntyre-Wood (Craig) of Moncton, Lissa McIntyre (Jonathan) of Dieppe, Adelle McIntyre (Mecko) of Dartmouth and Sara Wheeler (Mike) of Calgary, AB; two grandsons: David Martin and Jason Wheeler (Andrea), both of Calgary, AB; three great-grandchildren: Deztynee, Domenyk and Jasmine; four brothers: David Morrison of Moncton, Arnold Buckler of Thunder Bay, ON, Lester Buckler of Sault Ste Marie, ON, and Stewart Buckler of Winnipeg, MB, as well as many nieces and nephews. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Hector (2002), daughter Colleen (2001), son David (2006), great-grandson Trevon (2004), sisters: Jean Crawford-Lane and Doris Buckler; brothers: Murdoch Morrison and Harold Buckler. May she now join those who have missed her and allow us the beauty of her memory.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 7 TO 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's R.C. Church, 340 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers at Lefurgey Residence and Unit 52 of the Moncton Hospital. In memory of Myrtle, a contribution to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
