NORTHRUP, WINNIFRED “WINNIE” GLADYS - The passing of Winnifred “Winnie” Northrup of Fredericton, occurred at the York Care Nursing Center on March 22, 2012. She was 89. Born at Reid’s Point, Kingston Peninsula, NB, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Marguerite (White) Lamb and wife of the late LeRoy James Northrup. Anglican by faith, Winnie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by three sons Ronald (Marilyn) of Tay Creek, Donald of Maugerville, and Scott (Debbie) of Marysville; two daughters Sharon (Dennis) of Penniac and Cathy (Randy) of Douglas; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grand children, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers James and Charles, a sister Freda MacLaughlan, and half sister Helen Chase and grandson Carey.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road where visitation will take place on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM with the Venerable John Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in the Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Kingston Peninsula in the spring. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Courtenay, Christopher, Brian, Timmy, Matthew, Jason and Colin. For those who wish memorials may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of the donor’s choice.
