Passed peacefully away at her residence in Grand Bank on Tuesday, March 20th, Emily Hyde, age 80 years. Predeceased by husband Alvin, daughter Amy, son Roger, son-in-law Gord, mother & father Emmie & James Russell, and brothers Edward, Sam & Tom. Leaving to mourn: son Eddie (Meta), daughters Edna Smith (Albert), Helen Savoury, Juanita Rose (Gordie), son-in-law Roy Ledrew, and daughter-in-law Marie Hyde; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sister Bessie, brothers Raymond (June), Herman (Daphne); sisters-in-law Clara Russell & Rose Russell, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Lyndon & Lisa Hale from the Salvation Army Grand Bank on Friday, March 23rd at 2pm. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by the Salvation Army Band. Pall Bearers were: Carl Crews, Edward Baker, Charles Savoury, Dave Holloway, Charles Dominaux & Doug Follett. Donations in her memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
