It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Esther Scott at the Whitehills Facility in Hammonds Plains on March 31, 2012.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Graton & Esther (Laffin) Tobin.
She was a member of St. Pius X parish, Sydney Mines.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Harvey, her sisters, Thelma, in infancy, Thelma, Mary and Maydell and her brothers, Lawrence, Byron, Patrick and Richard.
She is survived by her son, Harvey and his wife Diana; her brother, Blair and his wife Geraldine; her sister-in-law, Sheila Collins; her brother-in-law, Donald Scott and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will take place Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sydney Mines, with Fr. Thomas John officiating. A reception will take place in St. Pius X Hall immediately after the burial.
