ROBICHEAU, Llewellyn James “Lew” – 83, of Middleton, NS passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Centreville, Digby County he was a son of the late William and Freda (Dakin) Robicheau. Lew met the love of his life working at Canadian Canners in Middleton. He and Thelma enjoyed living in Prince Albert, Victoriavale and later settling in Middleton. Lew was a fisherman all of his life having owned and operated L.J. Robicheau & Son Fisheries. He loved the family cottage at Port George and was a hardworking man and enjoyed every minute of it. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, the former Thelma Craig; daughters, Darlene (John) denHaan, Brickton; Starr (Les) Barker, Wilmot; son, Cecil (Carol) Robicheau, Middleton; grandchildren, Josh (Carley) denHaan, Port George; Luke (Jodi) denHaan, Clarence; Regaan denHaan (Lissa Cohen), Middleton; Llewellyn (Sarah) Robicheau, Paradise; Wendell (Julie) Robicheau, Edmonton; Rick Robicheau, Auburn; C.J. Robicheau (Kailey Brown), South Farmington; Justin (Brenda) Barker and Tara Barker (Alex Balcome), both of Wilmot; great grandchildren, Haden, Madex, Roen, Autumn, Austin, Matt, Alex and Bella. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arden, Leroy, Carmen and Claude. Visitation was held Thursday, April 5, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service was held Friday, April 6, 2012 with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
