Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, April 5, 2012, Donald Strong Sr. of George’s Brook formerly of Clarenville, aged 80 years. Predeceased by his parents Herbert & Annie and five brothers. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Nita of 58 years; daughters Charmaine (Karlis) Zemitis, Theresa (Gerry) Rideout, Trudy (John) Burge, Faye (Harold) Ploughman; son Donny (Jeanette); 17grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sisters Jean Tilley, Rona Baker; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Sunday, April 8, 2012 from the United Church, Shoal Harbour with interment at the United Cemetery, Church Hill, Clarenville. In his memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NL.
