The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, April 6, 2012, of Marcel Hackett of Summerside, aged 60 years. “Absent from the body, present with the Lord,” 2 Corinthians 5:8. Born in Halifax, N.S., he was the son of the late Chesley and Emilie (LeSaux) Hackett. Survived by his wife Marion (Ramsay) Hackett; daughters Jeanne, Joanne, Joanie, Janice and Jenna; step-daughter Corinne (Jamie) Williams; eight grandchildren; brothers Larry, Brian, and Gary; sisters Pauline, Judy and Debbie. Predeceased by his brother Rocky and by his sister Michelle. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Monday from 6–9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Community Connections would be appreciated.
