EDGE, KATHLEEN - 1918 - 2012 - Kathleen (McGonigle) Edge, Stoney Creek, NB, 93, passed away peacefully at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor on April 7, 2012. Kathleen, known to friends and family as "Kitty," was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and moved to Liverpool, England with her husband William Edge following the second World War. She resided in England until the death of her husband, returning to Belfast to live with her sister, Lily. Upon Lily's death in 1993, Kathleen moved to Canada to be with her daughter and family. Kathleen is survived by granddaughters Erin (Balser) Guthrie and Mary (Balser) Semadeni, great-grandchildren Isabella and Maddox, and her son-in-law William Balser Jr. She was predeceased by her husband William Edge and daughter Kathy Balser.
Arrangements are in care of Cobb's Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, NB., (869-2007). No visitations, by family request. The funeral service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Queen St. Moncton, NB on Thursday April 12th at 3pm with the Reverend Chris VanBuskirk officating. Interment will be at St. Wilfrid's Parish Church in Standish, England. The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeview Manor for their support and comfort to Kathleen.
