Gladys Ruby Fiander, Louisbourg, died on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Waterford Heights, New Waterford.
Born in Big Lorraine, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ann (Wadden) Jewell.
Gladys was active in the church and in community activities for most of her life.
She is survived by her son, Edward (Carol); grandchildren, Janice (Gavin), Robert, Brent (Bernadette); great-grandchildren, Sage and Benjamin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her sister, Iva Miles and brother, George.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with the funeral service at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, both at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg, with Rev. Brenda Drake officiating.
