TAYLOR, HELEN - Helen Marguerite Taylor, 92, of Caledonia Place, Hillsborough and formerly of Second North River, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Amherst, NS, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Cherry Sharpe and stepmother Helen. Helen worked at the T. Eaton Company in her early working years. She was an active and devoted member of the Second North River Baptist Church. Helen was a member of the WMS, the church choir and taught Sunday School for many years. She also belonged to the Second North River W.I. Helen enjoyed bowling in the senior league, gardening, knitting and crocheting. She is survived and missed by her children Cheryl Coates (Ralph) of Moncton and Pastor Gary (Sheila) of Hillsborough; grandchildren Sheri Coates, Shelley Comeau (Mike), Heather Coates (Jaime McMullin), Jennifer Coates (Trevor Pickard), Keri Lewis (Robin), Krista Taylor (John Sherwood), Kimberly Lewis (Jean Marc) and Kenny Taylor; 15 great grandchildren; sister Avora Daniels (Paul) of St. Catherine's, ON; sisters in law Margaret (late Warren McInerney) and Vivian (late Lawrence McInerney) both of St. Catherine's, ON; brother in law Raymond Steeves of Elgin and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Curtis and sister Nelda Steeves.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday, April 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held at Second North River Baptist Church Thursday, April 12 at 3 pm with Pastor Tim Friesen officiating. Interment at Monteagle Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorials to the Second North River Church Building Fund, Friends of the Moncton Hospital or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
