McGINITY, BRIAN MICHAEL - Peacefully, on Sunday, April 08, 2012, at the Health Science Centre, Brian McGinity passed away at the age of 65 years. Brian was predeceased by his parents Dora and Al McGinity. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Eileen, sons Todd (Teresa), Sean (Silvy), grandchildren Danica and Tegan, brother Dave (Rhea), sisters Judith (Victor) Rygiel, Janet McGinity (Peter Richard), Anne-Marie (Emery) Dunnett, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his well-loved Maltese, Mia. He was employed with C.N. Rail for more than 25 years. He owned his own company where he was a consultant for railways in several countries. When he retired from consulting, he purchased an autobody shop. In retirement, he enjoyed restoring '62 Chevys and fulfilled his life-long dream of owning a '57 Chev. Brian loved his volunteer work at Rockwood Institution, Stony Mountain and at Dakota House, where he shared the Mass with residents.
Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Road, with Reverend Father Phil Daley presiding. A private Rite of Committal will take place at a later time at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks are extended to dear friends Mitch, Indira, and Debbie for their loving support and care for Brian and his family.
