Dahr, Donald Arthur – 80, Sutherland’s Lake passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2012. Born in Port Dufferin, Halifax Co., he was a son of the late John and Myrtle (Robart) Dahr. Donald was a dedicated member of the Blue Knight Chapter I for over 30 years. He was actively involved in community benefits and the snowmobile club. He was a welder for many years and later became owner of a small marine business. He returned to Sutherland’s Lake where he was often seen mowing lawns and doing general maintenance. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by daughter, Donna (Buddy Shupe) Myers, Masstown; son, Donald (Laurie Goodwin), Masstown; sister, Gloria MacDonald, Stellarton; brothers, Dennis (Alice), New Minas, Gordon (Barbara), Middleton; grandchildren, Rachel (Andrew) Kadlec, Amanda Myers, Donald Dahr; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Bryanna Dahr, Gabriel Kadlec; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Hill). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 13th at 2 pm in Masstown United Church with Rev. Donald MacQueen. officiating.
