Passed away at his home on Saturday, December 12, 2009 after a short illness, John Charles Skanes, age 60 years. Predeceased by his father John and sister Christina. Leaving to mourn his son: Shannon (Tanja) in B.C.; 2 grandchildren: Noah and Ashley; mother Mary; four sisters: Maud (Mike) Tizzard, Joan (Richard) Dyer, Irene (Roy) Bailey and Paula (David) Dunn; three brothers: Art (Christine), Greg (Sue), Glen (Pam) and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday, December 15 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, December 16 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. from Caul’s Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
