Ernest Harding

HARDING, ERNEST - Ernest Roy Harding of Hoyt, NB passed away suddenly at the Oromocto Public Hospital on April 9, 2012. Roy was born on April 23, 1925 to the late Robert and Lydia Harding. He survived by his three brothers Wilmot (Evelyn), Lorne (Calma) of Tabusintac and John Harding of Miramichi as well as his special friend Marlene Fallu of Fredericton, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Roy was predeceased by his wife Ruth (Gardiner) Harding, two sisters; Hamlyn Kelly and Edna Harding, four brothers; Earl, Gerald, Chesley and Reginald Harding. Roy served in WWII with the North Shore Regiment and after he left the military he worked in the woods until he retired. Roy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, Fredericton and a member of the North Shore Regiment Veterans’ Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home to pay respects to Roy’s family on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. There will be a legion service commencing at 1:45pm. Funeral service will be from Sunbury Funeral Home on April 15, 2012 at 3pm with Rev. Jeffro Bursey officiating. Interment will follow in the Patterson United Cemetery in Hoyt, NB.
