LAUREL RUTH SAEMEROW (nee Nelson) Laurel Ruth Saemerow (aka Gumpy), passed away August 16, 2007 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband H.F.W. (Bill) Saemerow and her six brothers and three sisters. She was born in Merritt, BC in 1923 and married Bill in June 1946. They moved to Knutsford in June of 1947, where Laurel lived for the next 60 years. She will be sadly missed by her four children: Adele (aka Sally), Dorothy Rogers (Robyn), Judy Maurer (Gerry), and Rick; her seven grandchildren: Robert (Raeleen), Chris, Kevin (Megan), Jackie, Ken, Mike and Lori-ann, and her four great grandchildren: Timothy, Ashton, Brianna and Emily. The Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1985 Curlew Road, Kamloops, BC, on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. A reception will follow in the Knutsford Community Hall on Highway 5A South (old Merritt Highway) at 2:30 P.M. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
