The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, of Edith Adele Rackham (nee Matheson), beloved wife of Robert Rackham, of East Royalty and formerly of Wheatley River, in her 79th year. Edith was the beloved wife and lifelong partner, for almost 60 years of Robert Rackham; treasured mother of Debbie MacKay (Bruce), Wheatley River and Mark; and the foster mom of Bobbie Broome, Charlottetown. She was the dear sister of Pauline MacLean (Henry), Stratford; and sister-in-law of Eunice Waddell (William), Crapaud. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Krista McIsaac (James), Rusticoville and Nathan MacKay (Vickie), Wheatley River; great-grandchildren, Anna Lucassie, Mackayla Cox and Nolan and Duncan MacKay; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at Central Queen's United Church, Hunter River, on Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. Interment in Wheatley River United Church Cemetery.
