Michael Latinski

Latinski, Michael – 72, Tatamagouche. It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mike on April 11, 2012 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, while surrounded by his family. Mike was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton on May 31, 1939, the youngest son of the late P. and Annie (Personick) Latinski. In 1956, he moved with his family to Hamilton, Ontario and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber in 1986. He and his wife Beth (Hayman) would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on the twenty-first of April. He leaves two loving sons, Michael (Michelle), New Annan, and Bradley (Carole), Tatamagouche; his beloved grandson, Michael C. Latinski, Saskatoon; granddaughter, Emma Lea Reid, Hamilton; and his dog, Cheba. Also surviving is his sister, Olga Kitz; brothers, Harry (Rosalie), Stoney Creek, and Wally (Pauline), Hamilton; two aunts, Mary Woodland and Media Hillier, both of Hamilton, plus many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Tony Kitz, sister-in-law, Doreen (Hayman) Langille and her husband, Andrew. Mike loved working with his trees, gardening, walks in the woods and beautifying his property. Many thanks to the Sunrise Trail Group for their companionship and support over the years and to Thane Patriquin for his help at this time. Cremation has taken place. By request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or funeral service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Colchester SPCA or a charity of one’s choice in care of Coulter’s Funeral Home (657-3288), Tatamagouche.
