John passed away peacefully in Hospice care.
Predeceased by his wife Dolores (2008), his parents and brother. Survived by his sister, Pauline, sons Allan (Tricia - Jaimie, Katie and Natalie); Darryl (Sandra - Graham (Hilary - Katrina and Arianna), Gavin (Braede) and Grant (Laura); and Kevin (Valery - Slade).
Born in Vegreville, Alberta, John grew up on the farm, went to school in Willingdon, then learned carpentry and home building in Edmonton. John and Dolores were married August 29, 1944; in 1960 they moved to Kamloops with their three sons where John started the Revy Homes Division for Revelstoke Lumber. John built many homes in the Kamloops region before spending a number of years at West Fraser / RONA.
John was the business manager for a number of Kamloops Minor Hockey teams in the 60's and was a volunteer with K.I.B.H.T. and the United Way for many years. An accomplished photographer, John and Dolores travelled extensively throughout Europe, Australia, China and Southeast Asia, enjoying all forms of travel.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Hospice who cared for John.
No service or flowers by request, but John would have been appreciative of donations to the Kamloops Hospice.
