TRYGVE ELLINGSEN It is with love and fond memories that Billie Ellingsen, her son and daughters regret the passing of husband and father Trygve Ellingsen. (January 29, 1931 - September 13, 2007). He leaves his wife of 55 years, Alice (Billie) Ellingsen, his seven children: Joanne (Don) Embury, Janice, Nancy, Diane (Lorne) Tisdel, Carrie (Abe Pettyjohn), Gerald (Dawn), and Carol (Rick Adams). Trig loved and appreciated the company of his grandchildren. "Grandpa Nuisance" leaves: Douglas and Ross Embury, Courtney, Megan and Chelsea Spahan, Troy and Pamela Gilderdale, Scott and Cole Tisdel, Tammy and Robert Pettyjohn, Leif and Hanna Ellingsen, Carter and Kane Adams. Also left behind are his niece and nephew, Carl and Flora Ellingsen, sons-in-law Harry Spahan and Gerald Gilderdale. Trig was predeceased by brothers Thorvald and Gerald and sister Nadine. Trig was born in Kamloops, BC at the time when his family lived in Knutsford. The Ellingsen family soon moved to Spences Bridge and was part of that community for over 60 years. In his younger years Trig drove lumber truck in the forests around Ashcroft and Merritt. When sawmills were moved to town centers, Trig worked in construction in places like Mica Dam. Trig moved his own family to Lower Nicola in 1968 and ran Trig's Motors until 2003. He was passionate in his principles and in what he believed to be right and wrong. This is the legacy he left behind. The family will be hosting a memorial tea on Sunday, October 7th, at 1:00 P.M. in the Lower Nicola Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, Lower Nicola Community Association is happy to accept donations in Trig's memory. Many thanks to all the folks at Coquihalla - Gillis House and NV Transition Unit for their wonderful support of Trig and his family
