CLOUTIER: LORETTE (NEE) LAVALLEE; Lorette, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 at the Foyer St. Joseph after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Lorette was born Dec. 4, 1941 to Joseph and Irene Lavallee in Cadillac. She received her education through Beauchamps School in Frenchville; the convent in Val Marie and St. Pat School in Swift Current. Lorette started her working career in Brooks, AB. and returned to Ponteix to work at the local hospital. In 1959 she met the love of her life and married Gaston Cloutier on Oct. 30, 1961. Together they farmed and ranched all their life in the Ponteix district. As a wife to a farmer, Lorette was no stranger to a long and busy day of work and a great mother to three wonderful boys. Lorette's world revolved around her husband and boys. Lorette’s joy of cooking and baking was enjoyed by all who knew her. The Sisters at the Convent can vouch especially for her cinnamon buns and bread. Her hobbies later in life were knitting, crocheting, ceramics and some travel to see the boys and their families. One of her best get-a-ways was their cabin at Governor Dam. She will be remembered by her husband, Gaston Cloutier; her family-Garry (Mary Anne), Barry (Louise) and Bill (Pam). She will also be missed by her nine grandchildren: Corley, Jonathan, Graham, Andrew, Ben, Tim, Nicole, Grayson and Desiree. She is survived by one brother, Marcel (Irene) Lavallee, two sisters, Fay (Armand) Cloutier and Patsy Bakus, as well as six brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Lorette was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Irene Lavallee; in-laws, Benoit and Amanda Cloutier; her brother Roger and grandson, Logan; as well as four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, one nephew and two nieces. Lorette has left a wonderful life and legacy to all who loved her. She will be dearly missed by her family, grandchildren, brother, sisters, nieces and nephews and the countless friendships she had developed. She will always be in our hearts and memories.
