Melvin "Mel" Arsenault of Egmont Bay died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital on April 17, 2012, at the age of 69. He is the son of the late Florin and Marie-Anne Arsenault (nee Cormier). He is survived by his wife Eileen Arsenault (McNally) and daughter Michelle Arsenault and Felix Burgeson from Trenton, Ont., and the following brothers and sisters: Sr. Marie Arsenault (Congregation of the Precious Blood), Adelina Sheppard, Sr. Geralda Arsenault (Congregation of St. Martha) all of Charlottetown, Theresa Costello of Rustico, Anne-Marie (Richard Gauthier) and Alphonsine (Joseph MacIntyre) both of Miscouche, Gerard of Hagersville, Ont., Stanley (Betty) Fredericton, N.B. Also the following grandchildren: Kyle, Megan, and Keci of Trenton, Ont. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Aime, brothers Guillaume, Victorin, Joachin, Roland and brothers-in-law Edward Sheppard and Norbert Costello. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home in Urbainville until Saturday, April 21, then to the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Visiting hours Friday evening from 6-9 and Saturday morning from 9 until the funeral. Members of the Wellington Legion will hold a Legion service at 6:45 p.m. on Friday at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Prince County Hospital Palliative Care.
