It is with broken hearts and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving father and grandfather, Butch Drover, on March 30, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterloo, Ont.
Born in New Waterford and resided in Waterloo, Ont. the last several years.
Butch was the son of the late John and Mary (Slattery) Drover.
Predeceased by his partner, Anita Fraser in Dingwall and his aunt like mother, Annie Mae Cameron.
Left to mourn Butch are his loving son, Shaun Drover, Shaun’s mom, Debbie Carew, her son, Aaron Carew and grandson, Kevin Drover. Butch was also loved like a brother by his two cousins, Johnny and Tommy Cameron. His nieces, Tammy and Sherry Drover and their mom, Venie Drover.
Butch was a gentle soul who liked to travel, fish and hunt. He was an avid reader and had a talent for drawing.
A celebration of Butch’s life will take place on April 25, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Leonard’s Church, Mount Carmel Avenue, New Waterford. A reception will be held in St. Agnes Center, 310 Convent St., New Waterford. Burial will take place in Dingwall at a later date.
