CUNNINGHAM, PATRICIA DIAAN - Patricia Diaan Cunningham of Ingalls Head Grand Manan Island passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital April 25th, 2012 after a lengthy illness with cancer. She was born February 6, 1945 in Saint John. Pat chose nursing as her life’s work and profession. Her career took her to such places as Ottawa, Oromocto, California, Saint John, and Grand Manan. She loved watching movies with friends, travelling with her sister and had an infinite love for family. Pat leaves behind her mother Alta (Green) Cunningham, one sister Carole O’Brien of Conway, South Carolina, two brothers; John (Diane) and David both of Grand Manan. She also leaves two nephews; Richard (Maria) O’Brien of West Chester, PA, and Shawn (Stephanie) Cunningham of Musquash, NB. Patricia was predeceased by her father, Maurice Cunningham in 1987 and nephew Graeme Cunningham in 1996.
Visiting for Pat will be at Ells Funeral Home Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM. The memorial service for Pat will be held at the Community Life Church on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Jeff Benson officiating. Interment of Pat’s ashes will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
