Lűthi, Hans Karl
March 7, 1929 – April 20, 2012
Hans was born and raised in Basel, Switzerland and immigrated to Canada via the U.S. in 1960 with his wife, Renée. He was a mechanical engineer, a brilliant and generous man who loved adventure and travel and, most of all, time spent with his family. He died peacefully at his home in Beaconsfield on Friday, April 20, at the age of eighty three.
Hans was preceded in death by his parents Jolanda Brűnnich and Walter Lűthi and his brother Martin, and is mourned by his siblings in Switzerland Christian, Ueli, Madeleine, Andreas and Walter Jr. as well as his children Kate (George), Barbara (Alain), Matthew (Sung Jin) and Christopher and his beloved grandchildren Maya, Philippe, Vivian and Stephanie and many friends and relatives in Europe and elsewhere.
There will be a private memorial service.
The family is grateful for the loving care given by the staff at the Willowdale Residence.
