Elsie Treva Clarke, of Amherst, at the age of 100, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, April 30, 2012.
Born in Sackville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Ainsley and Elizabeth (Tower) Atkinson.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Amherst.
She is survived by daughters, Betty Yorston, Debert, NS, Barb (Ed) Crandall, Amherst, NS, Gail Hines, Masstown, NS; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by husband Chester Clarke; brothers Fawcett, Clifford and Gerald.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). In keeping with Elsie's wishes, there will be no time of visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place in the Warren Cemetery at a later date.
