Clarkin, Paul Joseph, 58, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away on Monday, April 30th, 2012, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of Elizabeth “Betty” (Hollands) (Clarkin) Lohnes and the late Joseph Clarkin. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who was happiest when spending time with his family and friends. He was employed for over 30 years with the Bowater Mersey Paper Company. Paul enjoyed watching and playing sports, walking his dog Nicki and loved working on his ‘71 Duster. He was a member of the Mersey Branch #38, Royal Canadian Legion, Liverpool. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Yvonne Amirault; daughters Maria (Clarkin) Manthorne, of Brooklyn, Julie (Kevin) Brady, of Milton; grandchildren Jacob Jesso and Brooklyn Brady. Sister Joanne (Rick) Baker, of Port Medway.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012, from 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception, all from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Lay Minister Peter Anthony officiating. Burial will be in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool.
