Born on December 26, 1929 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and died in Salmon Arm on December 18, 2009 at the age of 79 years.
The family moved to Kamloops in 1940. Hadden graduated from Union College (Vancouver school of Theology) and was ordained in the United Church ministry in 1959. His first parish was in Dubuc, Saskatchewan, followed by Quesnel, Abbotsford, Trail, Marpole (Vancouver) and Nelson. On his retirement in Williams Lake he moved to Salmon Arm.
Hadden was predeceased by his Father Hilton, Mother Evelyn, Sisters Doreen Harding and Joyce Bohnert his son’s mother Barbara Mackinder.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Evelyn, sons Steven (Tammie), Keith (Sue), Paul (Carolyn), step-daughters Cindy (Ken) and step-daughter-in-law Jo-Anne (Joe); Sister Audrey (Hugh) Turner and brother Arnold ( Pauline); grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Hillside Village where Hadden had lived for the past 18 months; to Dr’s Trow and Main, to the wonderful nurses in the Palliative Care Unit of the Shuswap Lake General Hospital; Thank-you to all who have prayed for us.
A Memorial Service will be held in May 2010. Donations in memory of Hadden can be made to a charity of ones choice.
