MOSES, Joseph Earl, 59 of William St., Yarmouth, passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on May 2, 2012 amidst the love and support of his family and the kindness of the ICU staff. Born October 1, 1952, in South Ohio, Yarmouth Co., N.S., he was the son of George and Eleanor (Scoville) Moses, South Ohio. Joe was proud of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed travel, collectables, and playing cards with his friends. His fiercely independent nature motivated him to find means of self-support despite a visual handicap. Besides his parents, he is survived by children, Misty (Tom) Amirault, East Pubnico; Matthew (Alicia) Moses, South Ohio; Jillian (Wayne Richie Jr.) Dulong, Hebron; grandchildren, Logan, Georgia, London, Victoria, and Kobe; sisters Elaine (Roy) Saulnier, East Kemptville; Judy (Gregg) Clements, South Ohio, and Shonda (Tony ) Hogan, Round Hill; and several nieces and nephews. We will remember his courage, intelligence and wit with fondness. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Friday, May 4 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, where a funeral service was held Saturday, May 5 at 11 a.m. with Joey Ring officiating. Interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only, please. Donations in Joe’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
