Eva died on May 8, 2012, in Dartmouth General Hospital after a long struggle with myasthenia gravis.
Born Jan. 29, 1920, in Northampton, England, Eva came to Canada as a war bride in March 1945 and joined her husband Lyall ‘Bunny’ Wilson in Truro.
She was a member of Cole Harbour-Woodside United Church for over 25 years; a life member of the United Church Women and a life member of the provincial chapter IODE. Her hobbies were knitting, gardening and reading and she loved a game of bridge.
She was a resident of the Berkeley Dartmouth since Jan. 1, 1999.
Besides her parents, Eva was predeceased by her husband in 1996, a brother, George Robins, U.K., also in 1996, several brothers and sisters-in-law in Canada and the U.K.
She is survived by sons, Robert, Halifax, and Brian (Debi Rudolph), Toronto; daughter, Brenda (Albert) Medynski, Fall River; grandsons, Paul (Joline) Medynski, Halifax, Kenzie Wilson, Toronto; granddaughter, Dr. Susan Medynski (Dr. Ken Lawrence), Winfield, B.C.; five great-grandchildren, Mark, Abigail and Clare Lawrence, Winfield, B.C., and Lily and Jude Medynski, Halifax; nephew, Gary (Ann) Robins; niece, Gail, U.K.

There will be no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Cole Harbour-Woodside United Church at 15 Bisset Rd., Cole Harbour, on Saturday May 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. with a reception following in the church, the Rev. Dr. Susan MacAlpine-Gillis officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the Cole Harbour-Woodside United Church Building Fund or charity of choice.
