MORRISON, THELMA J. - Thelma J. Morrison, 83, of Golden Years Estate, Moncton and formerly of Yale Avenue, Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L. University Hospital on Monday morning, May 14, 2012. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Bell) McLeod. Thelma attended Mount Allison University, studying in music and business. She enjoyed using her musical talent at her church, Emmanuel Baptist. Most of all, she was a loving wife and mom and now is rejoicing with her Saviour, dear husband and many other family relations. Thelma will be sadly missed by her daughters, Rebecca (Becky) MacDonald, of Bedford, NS, Elizabeth (Beth) Budd (Michael) of Riverview; precious grandchildren, Angela Snider (Jonathan) of South Bend, Indiana, Amy Read (Justin) of Moncton, Jonathan Budd (fiancé Brittany Harding of Saint John) of Riverview; cherished great grandchildren, Bronson, Cassidey, Brielle and Kaylin; sister, Robina Mitchell of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Calvin Morrison (2001) and her brother, James McLeod.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 187 McLaughlin Drive and Morton Ave., on Saturday May 19, 2012 at 11:00 am, Pastor Tim Friesen officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment, Burnt Church Union Cemetery on Saturday at 4:00 pm. In Thelma’s memory, donations to Emmanuel Baptist Church would be appreciated.
