TATTON, RUTH MAE - 1918-2012 - Mrs. Ruth M. Tatton of North Head, Grand Manan Island passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was born in St. Stephen, the daughter of the late Charles and Claire (MacElroy) Robinson. Ruth moved to Grand Manan from St. Stephen with her husband Scottie in 1955; she will always be remembered for her quiet way and warm smile. She is survived by her four sons, Arnold (Joanne) MacPherson of Yoho Lake, Roy (Cynthia) MacPherson of St. Stephen, Rob (Donna) MacPherson of Grand Harbour, Ted (Jean) MacPherson of Miramichi. Also by eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one grandson Randy, her husband Scottie, and also the father of her four sons, Darrel MacPherson. The family wish to acknowledge the friendship and the mutual admiration of her roommate Agnes Bainbridge; in lieu of flowers a donation to the GRAND MANAN NURSING HOME FOUNDATION or a charity of your choice is appreciated.
The funeral service will be held from the Church of the Ascension on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dana Dean officiating; the interment will follow at the North Head Community Cemetery.
