BRAGG, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Eady)– Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the age of 84. Betty was born in Spaniard’s Bay, Newfoundland, spent her adult life in Montreal, Quebec and retired in Burlington, Ontario. Loving mother of Doreen Chisholm (Shawn), Carolyn Pinet (Robert) all of Burlington, David (Susan) of Bermuda, Stephen (Elmira) of Bangladesh, Marianne Fraser of North York and John (Jackie) of Montreal, Quebec. Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Dear sister of Harry Eady of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Effie Hayden of Montreal, Quebec. She will be fondly remembered by her extended Bragg family and good friends in Newfoundland. Betty’s professional career started as a teacher in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland and ended with the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal. Cremation has taken place. She will be coming back home to Spaniard’s Bay for interment at a later date. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
