FRANK (FRANCISZEK) KWIDZINSKI

Born In: Poland
Born: December 6th, 1924

Passed in: Mission, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: May 17th, 2012

December 6, 1924 - May 17, 2012
Surrounded by loved ones, our dad Frank passed away peacefully on May 17, a beautiful sunny Thursday afternoon. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and is lovingly remembered by Emilia (his wife of 55 years), his two daughters Teresa (David) and Lily (Tony), his grandchildren James, Tavia, Breanna, Austin and Gabriel, plus numerous extended family members and friends in Canada, Poland and France.
Born in Poland, Dad survived as a prisoner of war, immigrated to Canada in 1950, married in 1957 and first settled in Mission BC. He raised his family in Kamloops and shared his lifelong passion for show pigeons with his close friend, Dr. Myron Lazarchuck. Dad would often speak fondly of the many lifelong friends he made during his 35 years working for CNR, many of whom predeceased him but most assuredly, were waiting to greet him to share another beer or one of his many practical jokes. He was a very special, very beautiful man who was always positive and always there if you needed him; Dad would never say no to family or friends. He moved back to Mission in 2005 to spend his remaining precious time close to his children and grandchildren.
Prayers will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Kamloops at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 23, with Mass at 11:00 am on Thursday. Donations can be made in his name to Pleasant View Care Home, 7530 Hurd Street, Mission BC V2V 3H9 or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
