Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on Friday, May 18, 2012, Mr. James Matthew Piercey, age 92 years of Gaultois. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Jennie; daughters, Elizabeth and husband, Joe Hiscock, at Burgeo, and Emily and husband, Chesley Rose, at Gaultois; sons, John and wife, Rita, and Matthew and wife, Beulah at Gaultois; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; sister, Abigail Kendell at Sandyville; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, John and Susanna Piercey; sisters, Maria, Elizabeth, Maude and Emily
Funeral service was held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm from St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Gaultois with Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Gaultois.
