Lillian Mae Cleveland - 79, of New Minas, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Lillian was the daughter of the late Allen and Gladys Rushton. Lillian was a stay-at-home Mom and was especially close to her grandchildren. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Graham) Cleveland-Foster, Windsor; sons, Brian (Sarah), Branford, ON and Richard (Linda), Kentville; grandchildren, Ashley Foster, Toronto; Jenn Foster and Mark Foster, Windsor; Dylan Cleveland, Riley Cleveland and MaKayla Cleveland, Ontario and Cheri Davison, Kentville; sisters-in-law, Betty Rushton, Jackie Rogers, Doris Morrison and Marguerite Townsend; brother-in-law, Lawrence Cleveland. Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Bill; sons, Harold and David; daughter, Wendy; brother, Wilfred and sister, Edith. The family would like to thank Dr. Sinclair and the nursing staff at the Valley Regional Hospital for their care and support and a special thank-you to Sherry Troop for being there. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. At Lillian’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of one’s choice.
