DOUG McINTOSH On January 10, 2008, Mr. Doug McIntosh passed away peacefully at Kamloops Seniors Village at the age of 81 years. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rollie; his six children, daughters Bonnie (David Scott) of New Westminster, BC and Margaret (Ivan Christensen) of Leduc, AB; sons, Gordon (Julie) of New Westminster, BC, George (Cathy) of Kamloops, BC, Bill (Stephanie) of Logan Lake, BC and Tom of Regina, SK; thirteen grandchildren Jennifer, Christian (Aurora), Shawna (Brad), Brent (Andrea), Megan (Bhodie), Hilary (Jeff), Amy (Sam), Kevin, Erik (Kristin), Joe, Chris, Erin and Daniel; and seven great grandchildren Alix, Cloe, Nolan, Lauren, Emma, Adam and Lucia. Doug was born in Edmonton in 1926. While still a teenager, Doug joined the Navy and served overseas during World War II. In 1948, he married Rolande Elizabeth Chalifoux in Edmonton. He had a long and varied career with Trimac Transportation for 40 years. Doug and Rollie raised their six children in a number of communities in Alberta and BC, finally settling in Kamloops in 1968. He enjoyed many summers at their trailer at Little Shuswap Lake and was an original Kamloops Blazers' season ticket holder. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family - and everyone will miss Grandpa's stories! The family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Kamloops Seniors Village for their loving andsupportive care. There will be no formal service by request. Should friends desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association and/or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated in Doug's name.
