It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our brother, uncle, and dear friend, Devin Coleski, who passed away on May 16, 2012, in Alberta.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Michael and Madonna (MacKinnon) Coleski.
Devin resided in Banff, Alta., and was employed with Akita Drilling for the past number of years.
He loved the water and this tiny island, as he had an incredible passion for fishing. Devin was also very musically talented, he was an avid guitar player and was especially fond of our traditional music.
Devin was a loyal and dedicated friend who will be sadly missed by all. Many will remember his great stories and little pranks.
He is survived by sisters, Michele, Banff, Alta., Jo-Anne (Butch B.), Mary, both of Sydney Mines; and brothers, Michael (Arlene), Halifax, Ron (Ella), Millville, Blair (Leigh-Anne), Windsor, N.S., Chris (Mary), Sydney Mines. Along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Devin was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Madonna (MacKinnon) Coleski and brothers, Brian and Gerard, and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass to celebrate Devin’s life will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Sydney Mines, with Fr. Thomas John officiating. Under the care and direction of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
