Ferne May Palmer entered into rest at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, May 20, 2012. She is survived by her husband Henery "Owen" Palmer, children David Hunter, Cynthia Hunter, Catherine Hunter and Michael (Rachel) Palmer, 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and sisters Joyce (Mort) Lyons and Hope (Brian) MacLennan. Predeceased by her first husband Donald Sterling Hunter, parents Rowan "Ted" and Ethel B. (Dunn) Jenkins, and by Lester and May (Jenkins) Beck, her uncle and aunt who raised her, sister Kay (late Louis) MacDonald and Eleanor (late Jack) Anderson. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. In keeping with Ferne's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral. A private family graveside service will be held at People's Cemetery, Kensington. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Prince County Hospital or the Cancer Society. The family expresses many thanks to the doctors, nurses of both Prince County and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals for their care and compassion of Mom during her illness. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
