Elisabeth Theresia “Thea” Veling, 92 Lansdowne Road, Union Centre. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our wife, mother and oma, on Monday, May 21, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Holland on July 6, 1919, Thea and her husband Tony first arrived in Canada in 1950. They raised their children in many different places over the years , being very proud of them and their accomplishments. Thea enjoyed traveling throughout Nova Scotia and Australia.
She is survived by her husband Anthony “Tony”; children, Mary, Dartmouth; John (Truus), Trenton; Tony (Ute), Melbourne, Australia; Kathy Gordon (Bobby), Gairloch; eight grand children and two great grand children. A private family interment will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations in Thea’s name may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of one choice.
