Mary Alice Ross, formerly of Sydney, died peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, N.L., May 26, 2012.
Born April 1, 1921, she was the daughter of Robert and Edith Watt of Sydney.
She leaves to mourn her beloved daughter Ellen and son-in-law Keith Crocker of Corner Brook; cherished granddaughter Ainslie (Carmen) and great-granddaughter Ashley Beers of Moncton; sisters, Mable (Bob) Watson, Sydney, and Isabel Weaver, Ontario; sister-in-law Vera Watt, Halifax; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward (Ted) Ross, sister Ellen Wright, brothers, George, Robert and Joseph, sisters-in-law, Ethel Ferguson and Mary Gibson, brothers-in-law, Bernard and Maurice Ross.
The funeral liturgy will be conducted by Archbishop Stewart Payne in the Cathedral Church of St. John the Evangelist, Corner Brook at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30. Visitation at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Marks Avenue, on Tuesday, May 29 from 7-9 p.m. Graveside service at Hardwood Hill Cemetery, Sydney, N.S. in June.
Memorials may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or charity of one’s choice.
