Nickerson, Harriette Lottie “Alma”- of Brooklyn Yarmouth County passed away May 25, 2012 at Villa St. Joseph Du Lac. Born in Clark’s Harbour, Shelburne County on June 14, 1924 of the late Vernon Nickerson and Minnie (Lowe). She was a member of the Brooklyn United Baptist Church. She was a cook for the fishermen on the Tusket Islands, and enjoyed camping. She is survived by her husband, Frank; daughters, Betty Nickerson, Toronto; Beverly (Mike) Fahie, New Glasgow; Pamela of Brooklyn. Sons, John(Arlene) MacNeil, Hebron; Garth (Rochelle) of Brooklyn; Sherwood, and Randy both of Yarmouth; and Jackie of Edmonton. Brothers, Garnet of Wedgeport and Ralston of Clark’s Harbour. A sister Isabelle of Woods Harbour. 14 grandchildren and 15 great grand children. Predeceased by son, Paul; brothers, Roderick, Ronald, Clarmont, and Blithroy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place on Monday May 28, 2012 from 7-9 p.m from Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium. Funeral took place on Tuesday May 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. A.D. Bill Newell officiated. Interment took place in the Arcadia cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations may be made to the Villa St. Joseph Du Lac or to charity of choice.
