MURPHY, Mary Catherine – Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at Carbonear General Hospital, Palliative Care Centre, on Thursday, May 31, 2012, Mary Catherine Murphy of Conception Harbour, age 90 years. Predeceased by her husband Maurice P., infant daughters (especially Shirley); parents: William and Catherine Cole; sisters: Anna and Bridget; brothers: Thomas and Pete; father-in-law Nicholas and mother-in-law Johanna Murphy; special grandson Andrew Murphy and special son-in-law George Edmunds. Leaving to mourn her sons: Maurice Francis (Eileen), Jerome (Barbara), John (Darlene); daughters: Genevieve Edmunds and Annie Conway (Patrick); 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Resting at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour, on Saturday, June 2, from 11 a.m. 9 p.m. and Sunday, June 3, from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Conception Harbour.
