DELANEY, Timothy Sheldon “Tim” – 43, North River. It is with ultimate sadness that the family of Timothy Sheldon “Tim” Delaney wish to inform all that knew him of his passing. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Robert G. “Bob” Delaney and was the fifth of five children. We knew Tim as a man with an unparalleled work ethic that shone through in every facet of his life. A devout musician, whose passion made him excel at every instrument he touched. Tim’s joy in bringing happiness to those around him will remain a bright memory for those of us who were fortunate enough to have shared in the spotlight that was his life. Always willing to give his time to someone in need, many of us benefitted from his skill as a mechanic. His efforts and devotion to the annual breast cancer golf tournament have ensured a helping hand even for those who he had never met. His ability to envision the end result of one of his many projects often amazed us as the care, skill and craftsmanship that he inherited from his father shone through. Tim was predeceased by his father, Robert Gerald “Bob” Delaney and his best friend and companion, Holly. Those of us who remain, his loving and wonderful wife, Angie; his dogs, Capo and Fret; sisters, Vicki, Donna (Kelly Toole), Lori; brother, Randy; his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Kelsey, Morgan, Cordelia, Havanna, Aidan, Ava, and Dublin; his loving extended family who supported him, Terry, Francine, Terry Jason, and Christa; his lifelong friend, James “Jamie” Nichols and friends, Lorraine and Brenton Crowe will hold the memory in our hearts of the kind, gentle soul we knew as “Tim”. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2012. If so desired, donations in Tim’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society or Christian Counselling Ministries are welcomed. Private messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting the “Guest Book” at: www.mattatallvarnerfh.com
