It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of our mother. She leaves to mourn her 3 daughters Bonnie (Larry), Donna, Glenna (Eddie) and 1 son Vernon (Karen); 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters Hilda & Edith and 2 sisters-in-law Pat Gunn and Lois Everett. Gertie was predeceased by her husband Victor, 2 daughters Barbara and Sharon, 2 sons Gordon and Gary, 1 grandson Gary, her parents Otto and Frieda Boettcher, 7 brothers and 3 sisters (including twin sister Betty). “God holds you in His hands, Mom – we hold you in our hearts.” A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Heartfelt thanks are sent to the staff at Parkland Terrace for their compassionate care of our Mother. Special thanks also to Don Moriarty, Wayne Timoffee and the staff at River Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkland Terrace, Shellbrook, SK in memory of our Mom. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty.
